Dalaman itself is a little Turkish Mediterranean farming town south of the coastal road. But most holiday visitors just pass through Dalaman Airport and on to their holiday resort. The culture ministry declared Dalaman as a touristic resort at the begining of 2005 and many travel agencies have begun to invest and build 5 star hotels on the wonderful coast line. The new Gocek tunnel, the planned yacht marina and golf course will give this area great investment value.
