A resort with two faces. One side lively and modern, the other with a traditional old quarter steeped in history. There are shops, bars, discos and harbour side - restaurants as well as a craggy hill, topped by Alanya Castle. There are also two beaches; East Beach, a mix of sand and fine pebbles that runs for miles, and its neighbour to the west, Cleopatra's Beach, is quieter with a much steeper drop into the sea.
